What You’ll Do

This entry-level Associate Auto Claim Representative role provides structured training and hands-on experience handling auto and related damage claims. You will learn claim processes and systems while supporting customers and internal teams.

  • Actively participate in structured training (virtual, classroom, on-the-job) covering policies, claims processes, systems, and procedures
  • Assess policy coverage and determine compensability for auto and related property damage claims
  • Investigate claims by gathering statements from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third parties
  • Partner with internal resources and vendors to collect evidence and evaluate potential fraud
  • Establish appropriate claim reserves; calculate and issue accurate claim payments
  • Develop and execute action plans to resolve claims efficiently and fairly
  • Communicate claim status clearly to policyholders, claimants, and business customers via phone and written correspondence
  • Maintain accurate claim records in the claims management system
  • Embrace continuous learning, including AI-enabled tools, digital workflows, and system upgrades
  • Obtain and maintain required insurance adjuster license(s) per state law within three months of hire
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum required and preferred qualifications for success in this role:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or previous internship/work experience in customer service or insurance
  • Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn claims systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone manner
  • Sound judgment and ability to make decisions within established authority
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Basic conflict resolution skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Openness to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies and processes

Compensation & Openings

  • Salary range (national market range provided): $45,400.00 - $74,900.00 per year
  • Target openings: 3
  • Role: Full-time; training program typically 9–12 months with progression to independent claims handling upon program completion
