What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Audit Associate (Summer 2027) to join their Seattle team. This position offers hands-on audit experience working with a range of clients and industries while you build technical skills and prepare for CPA eligibility.

  • Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts (cash, accounts payable, fixed assets, etc.)
  • Reconcile account differences and analyze financial data with client personnel
  • Help draft management letter comments and contribute to audit reports
  • Participate in client meetings with partners and managers
  • Learn from experienced staff and progressively take on greater responsibility

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required for Associate-level roles)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
  • Minimum grade of C or higher in job-relevant coursework and intermediate accounting
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. state by the role start date
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and ability to work under deadlines
  • Reliable transportation to the assigned office and availability for in-person off-site meetings/events
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or audit experience at a public accounting firm
  • Familiarity with financial statement testing and audit procedures

Location & Work Arrangement

This role is based in Seattle, WA. Successful candidates should expect a hybrid work arrangement once the local office is established (some in-office presence required). Local or able-to-commute candidates preferred.


Compensation

Pursuant to Washington state pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this Seattle role is:

  • $83,000 — $83,000 per year

Compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and relevant skills. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime pay where applicable. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, retirement savings plans, paid time off, holidays, and parental leave; eligibility and specifics vary.
