What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Associate in Audit (Fall 2027 start) for their Pittsburgh, PA office. In this entry-level, full-time role you’ll perform hands-on audit work while you build technical accounting skills and prepare for CPA licensure. You will receive coaching from experienced staff and managers and will participate in client-facing engagements across diverse industries.

  • Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts (cash, accounts payable, fixed assets, etc.)
  • Reconcile accounts and analyze financial data with client personnel
  • Draft management letter comments and assist with audit reports
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings alongside partners and managers
  • Follow firm methodology, document workpapers, and maintain professional standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting
  • Pursuing the education requirements to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania for this office
    • Completion of required academic credits (150 credit hours) must be met prior to the role’s start date
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the state where the office is located
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior audit internship experience at a public accounting firm

Work Authorization

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
