What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Audit Associate to join their Audit team in Boston, MA. In this role you will learn core audit procedures, work with engagement teams, and contribute to client deliverables while progressing toward CPA eligibility.
- Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts (cash, accounts payable, fixed assets, etc.)
- Reconcile account differences and analyze financial data with client personnel
- Help draft management letter comments and portions of the audit report
- Participate in client meetings alongside partners and managers
- Follow firm audit methodology and document workpapers thoroughly
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
- Pursuing the education requirements to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Massachusetts; completion of required academic credits (150 credit hours) must be met prior to the role start date
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the state where the office is located
- Solid technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office and to attend off-site meetings/events in person

- Prior internships or public accounting experience performing audit work

Compensation & Benefits (Massachusetts disclosure)
Pursuant to Massachusetts wage-transparency requirements, the salary displayed for the Massachusetts market in the source posting is $7,400 (min) to $7,400 (max). The final salary will be based on experience, education, and skill set. Benefits may include group health plan benefits, 401(k), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave; eligibility and details will be provided by Confidential Client.
