What You’ll Do
Develop and implement software applications that connect technical teams and end-users to meet business needs. Work across the full software development lifecycle—design, code, test, and deploy—under close supervision as you build your skills and deliver value for members and internal users.
- Assist in designing, developing, and optimizing high-quality software applications using programming languages and frameworks appropriate to the project.
- Participate in full SDLC tasks: requirements, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following organizational standards.
- Join code reviews, learn from feedback, and contribute to a high-quality codebase.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance issues; escalate when necessary.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and teammates to gather requirements and propose practical solutions.
- Use standard data structures and algorithms to improve performance and user experience.
- Continuously learn new tools and technologies; contribute to team initiatives and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing software that meets business and user needs.
- Gather and analyze requirements with product owners and technical leads.
- Produce readable, well-tested code and support basic QA/testing activities.
- Participate in code reviews and follow source-control workflows (e.g., Git).
- Troubleshoot bugs, reproducible defects, and performance issues.
- Follow established engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support team projects, sprint goals, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain clear written and verbal communication with peers and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field — or equivalent education/training/experience.
- Entry-level: approximately 0–2 years of experience in application or software development.
- Basic skill in one or more programming languages and familiarity with modern development tools.
- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with database structures and querying techniques.
- Experience or exposure to Git (or similar version-control systems).
- Exposure to front-end and back-end technologies and basic testing frameworks.
- Comfortable using ticketing systems and knowledge-base platforms for troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn.
