Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Account Executive — Point of Care Diagnostics to support its Point of Care (POC) division in San Diego, CA. This is an entry-level, full-time sales position focused on supporting territory growth, managing accounts, and learning the hospital and clinical environment for point-of-care diagnostic solutions. The role requires up to 50% travel and is a developmental opportunity with clear progression toward a full Sales Representative territory within 1–2 years.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with senior Sales Representatives and the District Manager to develop territory plans and execute account strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hospital customers, distributor partners, and internal teams to retain and grow business.
- Build relationships across hospital departments to identify decision makers and opportunities for point-of-care diagnostic solutions.
- Support the sales cycle by identifying prospects, qualifying opportunities, and helping move deals toward close.
- Analyze monthly and quarterly performance data to create action plans for key accounts.
- Assist with Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development and coordinated awareness activities.
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time (training modules, expense reports, forecasts).
- Travel within the assigned territory (up to 50%, including overnight trips) to support customers and business objectives.
- Adhere to EHS policies and maintain quality system responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 0–3 years of experience in sales or clinical roles (examples: BSN, MLT, CLS, RT, Cardiac Tech).
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory and to U.S. business locations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in sales or customer-facing roles.
- Experience in diagnostics, point-of-care testing, laboratory, or capital equipment sales.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms.
- Exposure to professional sales training programs (e.g., Challenger, Miller Heiman).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range (posted): $61,300 — $122,700 per year. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
