Position Summary

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Associate Scientist to join a bioanalytical team supporting early-stage and preclinical veterinary or biological product development. The role focuses on ELISA-based assay execution and pharmacokinetic (PK) sample analysis to produce reliable quantitative data that supports PK and immunogenicity studies.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform ELISA-based assays to quantify proteins (e.g., antibodies, biomarkers, cytokines) in biological matrices such as serum and plasma.
  • Support pharmacokinetic (PK) sample analysis including sample preparation, dilution, and plate-based assays.
  • Execute experiments following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and study protocols.
  • Analyze and interpret assay data using tools such as SoftMax Pro, Prism, or similar software.
  • Generate standard curves, calculate sample concentrations, and prepare tabulated summaries.
  • Maintain accurate electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) documentation.
  • Assist in assay qualification, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Support method validation activities and participate in data review.
  • Serve as Study Investigator for assigned laboratory procedures.
  • Read assigned scientific literature and present project-oriented updates in team meetings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and bioanalytical scientists.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Immunology, or a related scientific field.
  • ~2 years of laboratory experience (academic lab experience acceptable).
  • Hands-on experience with ELISA or other plate-based immunoassays.
  • Basic understanding of pharmacokinetics (PK) principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
  • Good data analysis and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or prior lab experience in a bioanalytical, CRO, or biotech/pharma setting.
  • Exposure to PK/ADA (anti-drug antibody) assays.
  • Experience operating plate readers and using bioanalytical software tools.
  • Knowledge of GLP or regulated bioanalysis.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $71,900.00 - $113,200.00 per year.
  • This range reflects the employer’s good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Final placement within the range will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
  • Eligible employees may participate in annual bonus and long-term incentive programs, if applicable.
  • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, retirement (401(k)), paid holidays, vacation, and other insurances — specifics provided by the Confidential Client.
