Assoc Product Development Engineer
The Associate Product Development Engineer at Confidential Client supports the design, testing, and refinement of next-generation foot and ankle medical devices under senior engineering guidance. This entry-level, on-site role involves participation throughout the product life cycle, including research, CAD modeling, documentation, and collaboration with suppliers, contributing to medical innovations that improve patient mobility.

What You’ll Do
- Support product development from concept through commercialization for foot & ankle implants and instruments with mentorship from senior engineers
- Research and evaluate competitive products and performance characteristics to inform design decisions
- Contribute to conceptual design work and parametric modeling using SolidWorks/CAD
- Assist in creating and maintaining design control documentation (Design History Files / technical files)
- Help develop and execute test protocols; support lab testing and inspection of new and existing devices
- Participate in project phase-gate reviews and document actions/decisions
- Coordinate with 3rd-party suppliers, contractors, and testing houses
- Observe relevant surgical procedures (live, cadaver, or video) and capture detailed notes to inform design
- Perform other duties as directed by your manager
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or related engineering discipline
- 0–3 years of engineering experience; internships or co‑op experience in medical devices a plus
- Familiar with CAD; SolidWorks experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to peers
- Team-oriented, curious, and able to follow engineering processes and quality documentation
Compensation & Travel
- Employment type: Full-time, onsite at our Englewood, CO facility
- Base salary range: $47,000 — $75,000 USD annually (dependent on skills and experience)
- Travel: Approximately 10% overnight travel
