What You’ll Do

Actively learn from and assist senior data scientists in using data to optimize product development and business decisions. Work with structured and unstructured data across multiple systems and help deliver analytics, models, and visualizations that inform stakeholders.

• Assist with analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends, insights, and data-driven solutions.
• Shadow and support development of analytical models and algorithms; help test, evaluate, and monitor model performance.
• Clean, reconcile, and validate data from disparate sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to dashboards and visual tools (e.g., Power BI) that communicate results and KPIs to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations) to translate business questions into analytical approaches.
• Support implementation of models and track outcomes to help close the loop between analysis and business impact.
• Perform other assigned duties and participate in team knowledge sharing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, applied mathematics, data analytics, statistics, industrial engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of practical experience in data mining, developing or implementing statistical or machine learning models, algorithms, or visualizing data.
• Hands-on experience with statistical/programming languages and tools such as Python, R, SQL, and/or SAS.
• Strong foundational knowledge of statistics and modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and tools (Power BI or similar).
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to contribute to multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Python programming for data analysis and machine learning.
• SQL database querying and data engineering fundamentals.
• Experience applying machine learning techniques; familiarity with GenAI integration workflows (e.g., VS Code + GitHub Copilot).
• Data storytelling and dashboarding (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Familiarity with model monitoring and basic MLOps concepts.
• Eagerness to learn new tools and grow toward an independent data scientist role.

• Work location: Memphis, TN (on-site or as defined by the client).
