What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Technical Designer supporting Confidential Client, you will assist the technical design team with fabric approvals, sample tracking, technical packages and day-to-day organization that keeps development on schedule.

  • Conduct approval process for fabric lab dips and fabric lots
  • Prepare, send, and track lab dip requests/submits
  • Communicate with fabric and trim suppliers to resolve issues and confirm deliveries
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of technical packages
  • Organize and maintain the fabric library and fabric request logs
  • Log and organize external fabric submits and maintain records of in-house fabrics and trims
  • Issue sample purchase orders to fabric mills and vendors and assist with tracking
  • Assist in tracking progress of sample fabrics according to the development calendar
  • Upload and manage images for seasonal cut/sold reports; download and print reports bi‑weekly
  • Order, receive, track and return inspiration samples for design development
  • Support fabric sourcing and basic fabric development tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Intermediate experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting
  • Proficient knowledge of garment construction and apparel technical drawing
  • Creative problem solving and strong time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and good record‑keeping habits
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced development environment and coordinating with vendors

Education & Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor of Science / Arts in Fashion Design or equivalent apparel-related coursework
  • Successful completion of relevant courses such as:
    • Garment Construction
    • Principles of Textiles
    • Apparel Technical Drawing
    • Pattern Making
