What You’ll Do

This Assistant Project Manager role supports commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects. You will work with Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and the coordination team to help keep projects on schedule, on budget, and well-documented.

  • Support Senior Project Managers and Project Managers with day-to-day project administration for commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects
  • Assist with preparing monthly job cost projections, cash flow and manpower schedules
  • Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors and prepare bid information for review
  • Prepare change order estimates, purchase orders, and CECs for CMiC processing
  • Maintain organized project files, submittals, RFIs, bulletins, and up-to-date drawings
  • Coordinate material and equipment deliveries and assist with invoice approval backup
  • Prepare and process submittals and meeting minutes; track follow-up items from project meetings
  • Work with the Coordination team to maintain project coordination schedules and attend coordination meetings as needed
  • Support punch-list management, obtain as-built markups from field foremen, and assist with project closeout and O&M package development
  • Support design-assist activities and collaborate with project co-ops to meet closeout deadlines

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience
  • Previous internship, co-op, or construction experience preferred but not required
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage shifting priorities, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in HVAC systems and mechanical construction
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or CMiC is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to build effective working relationships with field teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal partners
