What You’ll Do

This entry-level Assistant Project Manager will support project managers and construction teams on commercial electrical and construction projects. You will help maintain project records, coordinate subcontractor documentation, and support project meetings to keep projects on schedule and compliant.

  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes
  • Maintain change order, submittal, and drawing control logs
  • Prepare and distribute required logs and documentation for construction meetings
  • Create and issue subcontractor contracts and assist with contract submittals
  • Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals; keep warranty logs up to date
  • Attend project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Monitor contractors’ activities and progress; assist field personnel technically as needed
  • Prepare price change orders, project reports, and payroll-related documentation
  • Ensure project quality control plans and company policies are followed

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and common methods
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time-management abilities
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with managers, staff, vendors, and clients
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Oracle experience is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements under pressure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; self-motivated and a collaborative team player

What You Bring to Us

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field, OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction-related role preferred
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (up to 25%)

Travel & Working Conditions

  • Travel: Up to 25%
  • Work is primarily performed on active construction sites and indoor offices; involves sitting, standing, walking, lifting (occasional up to 30 lbs), typing, bending, and other standard site activities
  • Noise level: low to medium

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $79,600 — $104,500 annually. Actual pay will vary based on location, experience, skills, and education.
  • Typical benefits may include: Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k), annual bonus program, paid time off and holidays, medical/dental/vision, life and disability insurance, pre-tax flexible spending plans, and charitable giving match (offered by the Confidential Client)
