Job Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support delivery of heavy civil construction and sitework projects. This full-time role (Monday–Friday) is a hands-on, early-career to junior-level position ideal for candidates with a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management who want field and project-management exposure on commercial and federal contracts.

Salary: $85,000–$120,000 per year + performance bonuses.


What You’ll Do

  • Interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents to support accurate field execution.
  • Assist with preparation and review of project submittals and material submittal logs.
  • Generate purchase orders, monitor material deliveries, and track procurement status.
  • Support project scheduling and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Prepare and organize daily field reports and documentation for project leadership.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, and client requirements (including federal contract requirements).
  • Provide general project support to Project Managers and Superintendents as assigned.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required (to meet federal contract and site access requirements).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required) or Construction Management (preferred).
  • 0–3 years’ experience in heavy civil construction, utilities, or sitework; entry-level candidates with strong academics are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks and obtain access to military/federal facilities as needed.
  • Progress toward Civil Engineer licensure or an active license is a plus.

Schedule & Location

  • Employment type: Full-Time — Monday through Friday.
