What You’ll Do

This entry-level Assistant Project Manager role supports on-site construction project delivery and the Project Management team. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage project documentation—submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and drawing control.
  • Maintain change order, submittal, and document control logs; prepare meeting and construction logs.
  • Create and issue subcontractor contracts and support contract submittals.
  • Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals; ensure required documentation is collected.
  • Keep the Warranty Log current and prepare Job Information Sheets and Job Files.
  • Attend project and client meetings to provide project management support.
  • Monitor subcontractor and other contractors’ activities and progress.
  • Assist field personnel with technical or administrative support as needed.
  • Prepare price change orders, project reports, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with payroll and internal teams to ensure accurate project payroll and records.
  • Follow the project quality control plan and ensure company/project procedures are maintained.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills
  • High attention to detail and excellent time-management abilities
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to interact with managers, vendors, and team members
  • Clear oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Oracle experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player

What You Bring to Us

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, OR equivalent combination of education/training and relevant experience
  • Minimum ~1 year of construction-related experience (internships, co-ops, or field roles count toward experience for entry-level candidates)

Travel

  • Up to 25% travel may be required.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily performed on active construction sites with indoor and outdoor activity.
  • Typical activities include sitting, standing, walking, typing, lifting (occasional lifting up to 30 lbs), pushing and bending.
  • Noise level generally low to medium; varied environmental conditions.
  • Position follows ADA and applicable state laws; reasonable accommodations considered.
