Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager at Confidential Client leads and manages small to midsize construction-related projects, coordinating teams, clients, and vendors to ensure successful and compliant project completion. What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Project Manager (APM) you will support delivery of small-to-mid size AV, security, and IT integration projects in the Denver, CO area. Working with project managers, field teams, subcontractors and clients, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality and safety standards.
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day project activities for assigned projects
- Review and maintain project schedules and budgets; track progress and report variances
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and client stakeholders to resolve issues and keep work moving
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes
- Analyze project metrics to identify risks and recommend corrective actions
- Mentor and support entry-level project engineers and technicians
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, building codes, and contract requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls and best practices
Compensation (Colorado disclosure)
- Estimated base salary: $111,629 per year (estimated by source). Actual pay may vary based on experience and role responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline OR equivalent professional experience (minimum ~2 years)
- Demonstrated experience coordinating or managing construction or technical integration projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
- Working knowledge of construction processes, materials, codes, and safety requirements
- Proficiency with project management software and tools (scheduling, budget tracking, document control)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Preferred / Helpful Experience
- Experience with AV, security, or IT systems integration projects
- Familiarity with subcontractor management and vendor procurement
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians
- Certifications (e.g., PMP, Certified Construction Manager) are a plus
