What You’ll Do

This Assistant Project Manager (APM) role supports project delivery on electrical and construction projects by providing administrative and construction support to the Project Management team. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Manage project documentation: submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, change orders, and drawing control logs.
  • Support the Project Manager with planning, coordination, and resolving on-site issues while ensuring compliance with company and project procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain logs and project documentation for construction meetings.
  • Draft and manage contract submittals and assist in creating and issuing subcontractor contracts.
  • Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals; maintain Warranty Log.
  • Interact with subcontractors to confirm required documentation and drawings.
  • Attend client, subcontractor, and internal project meetings and provide project management support.
  • Assist field personnel with technical or administrative tasks within assigned scope.
  • Monitor other contractors’ activities and progress and help prepare price change orders, project reports, and job information files.
  • Coordinate with payroll and project administration to ensure accurate payroll and recordkeeping.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • Knowledge of construction methods, equipment, scheduling, and technology.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with managers, staff, vendors, and clients.
  • Strong organizational, record‑keeping, and follow‑up skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a changing environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Oracle experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.

What You Bring to Us

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education/training and relevant experience.
  • Minimum ~1 year of relevant experience in a construction-related role (entry-level / early-career).

Travel

  • Up to 25% travel may be required.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily performed on active construction sites; activities include sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending.
  • Work is generally indoors on job sites with varying environmental conditions (lighting, HVAC); noise level typically low to medium.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $73,200.00 - $96,100.00 Annual. The range reflects expected pay for candidates who meet the listed qualifications; actual pay may vary by location, experience, skills, and education.
