What You'll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Assistant Project Manager (entry-level) to support project managers on commercial electrical construction projects. This role focuses on document control, coordination with subcontractors, and administrative support that keeps projects on schedule and compliant.

  • Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, change orders, and drawing control logs.
  • Support Project Manager with planning, coordination, and issue resolution on assigned activities.
  • Prepare and maintain job files, Job Information Sheets, warranty logs, and other construction records.
  • Create and issue subcontractor contracts and manage related contract submittals.
  • Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals; verify subcontractor documentation and drawings.
  • Attend project and client meetings and provide project management support.
  • Coordinate with field personnel and payroll to ensure accurate reporting and job status.
  • Prepare price change orders, project reports, and required logs for construction meetings.
  • Ensure the project quality control plan and company standards are followed.

Who We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of construction-related experience (project support, coordination, or similar).
  • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.

Skills & Tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Oracle experience preferred.
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction document control.
  • Familiarity with construction meeting documentation and assembly of Owner/Maintenance Manuals.

Travel, Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Travel: Up to 25% travel to project sites.
  • Work is performed primarily on active construction sites; duties include sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Noise level: typically low to medium.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated pay: $80,914 per year (estimated; final pay may vary by experience, skills, and location).
