What You’ll Do
This entry-level Assistant Project Manager role supports the Project Management team by handling documentation, coordination, and administrative tasks that keep construction projects running smoothly.
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes
- Maintain change order logs, submittal logs, and drawing/document control logs
- Prepare required logs and project documentation for construction meetings
- Assist with contract submittals and preparation/issuance of subcontractor contracts
- Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals and track required warranty documentation
- Support and monitor subcontractor compliance and documentation gathering
- Attend client, subcontractor, and internal project meetings and provide project management support
- Assist field personnel and coordinate with payroll, accounting, and other internal teams as needed
- Prepare price change orders, project reports, and other project correspondence
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
This role is best for detail-oriented candidates who can balance administrative accuracy with on-site coordination.
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and field methods
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time-management ability
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Professional demeanor and effective communication with managers, staff, vendors, and clients
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with Oracle is a plus
- Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education/training and relevant experience)
- Minimum ~1 year of experience in a construction-related role (entry-level project management, field coordination, or related support role)
Travel & Working Conditions
- Travel: Up to 25%
- Primarily performed on active construction sites with a mix of indoor and outdoor environments
- Typical activities include sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, bending; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs
- Noise level: low to medium
