What You’ll Do
This full-time, management-position supports day-to-day grounds and golf-course turf operations for a hospitality property staffed by Confidential Client. You’ll supervise crews, coordinate schedules and projects, and help maintain high standards for course condition and guest experience.
- Supervise daily shift operations and ensure compliance with department policies and safety procedures
- Schedule and prioritize tasks such as mowing, fertilizing, irrigation, seeding, raking, and spraying
- Coach and counsel team members; provide training and on-the-job development
- Fill in for the Golf Course Superintendent as needed; perform hands-on tasks when required
- Monitor productivity, equipment, supplies, and uniforms to maintain operational readiness
- Participate in department meetings and assist with project planning and budgeting
- Respond to guest questions or complaints professionally and escalate when appropriate
Qualifications
- Education: One of the following options is acceptable
- Associate (2-year) degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Turf Management, or related field + ~2 years landscaping/grounds experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Turf Management, or related field (entry-level considered)
- Experience supervising or leading small teams preferred
- Knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, fertilizer and pesticide application, and general landscaping equipment
- Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather and perform physical tasks as needed
- Commitment to safety, quality, and excellent guest service
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Range: $24.04 - $29.33 per hour
- Employment Type: Full-time, Management (entry-level management)
- Bonus Eligible: Yes
- Located: Nashville, TN — this position is not remote
