About the Role

Confidential Client is seeking entry-level engineers to join the Saratoga Springs, NY office as an Assistant Engineer I. This is an excellent opportunity for December 2026 graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience who want hands-on exposure to water and wastewater engineering projects, including planning, design, and construction support.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist in preparing engineering deliverables: sampling studies, condition assessments, process and hydraulic modeling, and design reports.
  • Prepare engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches and drawings; perform engineering calculations.
  • Manage and organize data sets used for modeling and design.
  • Attend client and internal project meetings and support project coordination.
  • Support multiple projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Participate in fieldwork and site visits for data collection and construction observation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in the water/wastewater or environmental engineering sector.
  • Strong interest in water and wastewater systems and infrastructure.
  • Solid communication skills, self-motivation, strong organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • EIT certification or progress toward EIT.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering.
  • Experience or coursework in process modeling, hydraulic modeling, or similar analyses.
  • Habit of performing self-quality reviews before submitting work for QA/QC.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay range: $75,000 - $95,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and education).
