What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Assistant Engineer I / II to support water and wastewater design and process teams. You will contribute to planning, design, and construction support for drinking water, wastewater, reuse treatment facilities, conveyance systems, wellfields, stormwater management, water resources, and asset management projects.
- Assist in preparing engineering deliverables: sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports
- Manage data for process and hydraulic modeling
- Support equipment selection by coordinating with manufacturers and vendors
- Attend client and internal project meetings and support project management tasks
- Participate in fieldwork and site visits (primarily in-state)
- Support multiple projects from planning through construction
- Work directly with senior engineers and participate in mentoring and professional development activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering
- 0–4 years of relevant experience in the water/wastewater industry (experience that counts toward PE licensure)
- Strong interest in water/wastewater engineering and environmental infrastructure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; self-motivated and highly organized
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- EIT certification
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering
- Familiarity with GIS, Bluebeam, CAD/BIM, BioWin, Power BI, and databases
- Habit of performing self-quality reviews (QA/QC) before submitting work
