Position highlights

Our confidential client is hiring an entry-level Assistant Designer — Apparel Graphics to join a Creative & Design team focused on activewear and lifestyle apparel. This role supports senior and associate designers across concepting, artwork creation, CADs, and tech-pack deliverables.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in designing original graphic artwork, placement prints, seamless patterns, and typography treatments for performance and lifestyle apparel.
  • Conduct trend and concept research (macro + micro) and help build physical and digital mood boards for seasonal presentations.
  • Generate accurate CADs to communicate scale and print placements on garments.
  • Assist in preparing clear, concise tech packs for graphics and embellishments to share with vendors and factories.
  • Collaborate with color and product development teams to provide colorway options and review incoming strike-offs, lab dips, and bulk fabric submits.
  • Partner with apparel designers, technical design, product development, and merchandising teams to ensure graphics are on-brand and cost-effective.
  • Maintain an organized digital art library and track physical samples, strike-offs, and development progress.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion, Textiles, Illustration, or related discipline.
  • Experience: 0–2 years in graphic design or apparel graphics; internships in fashion/activewear preferred.
  • Technical skills: High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Experience with hand-drawing, painting, Procreate, or AI creative tools is a plus.
  • Design aesthetic: Portfolio demonstrating strong layout, typography, and illustration skills; familiarity with activewear/ wellness aesthetics preferred.
  • Technical knowledge: Basic understanding of apparel construction and printing techniques (screen print, sublimation, heat transfer); embroidery knowledge is a plus.
  • Work style: Excellent communicator, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team.
