Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Assistant - Administrative to support the Linear & Streaming Operations team in Manhattan, NY. This role provides administrative and operational support to senior leaders and the broader team—managing calendars, travel, expense reports, meeting materials, and light project work. The position is full-time and offers hybrid flexibility (typically one work-from-home day per week).


What You’ll Do

  • Support the EVP, Linear & Streaming Products and the SVP, Programming Strategy & Acquisitions with administrative tasks
  • Manage complex calendars and schedule meetings across multiple time zones
  • Prioritize and resolve scheduling conflicts and anticipate executive/team needs
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel (flights, hotels, transportation, itineraries)
  • Prepare and reconcile expense reports following company policy
  • Manage incoming communications and facilitate timely responses and follow-up
  • Schedule and support recurring team and leadership meetings; prepare agendas and materials
  • Capture meeting notes and coordinate follow-ups and action items
  • Assist with planning team events, offsites, and other gatherings
  • Maintain organizational files, records, and shared team resources
  • Support document preparation, formatting, proofreading, and distribution
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and vendor paperwork as needed
  • Order and maintain departmental office supplies
  • Coordinate onboarding activities (workspace setup, systems access, orientation)
  • Serve as a point of contact for administrative questions and liaise with IT and Facilities
  • Assist with special projects, research, and administrative initiatives as assigned
  • Support acquisitions team with tracking/screening potential content when needed
  • Help improve team processes and identify efficiency opportunities

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 0–2 years of relevant administrative or office experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Exceptional attention to detail and reliable follow-through
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines while maintaining composure

Preferred

  • Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams
  • Background in media, entertainment, technology, streaming, or related industries
  • Knowledge of the competitive entertainment landscape
  • Familiarity with expense management tools, travel booking, and event coordination
  • Experience using collaboration and project-management tools (and approved AI tools)
  • Interest in growing within Programming and Content Strategy — the role is designed for entry-level growth

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
  • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, 401(k), wellness program, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid parental leave, and other plans subject to eligibility
  • Hybrid work approach with flexibility to work from home approximately one day per week

Work Location & Schedule

  • Location: Manhattan, NY (onsite presence expected with hybrid flexibility)
  • Full-time schedule; occasional early/late meetings may be required to coordinate across time zones
  • Some domestic and international travel coordination required (travel itself is limited)
