Position overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Assessment Coordinator to support a GEOINT professional certification program in North Springfield, VA. This entry-level, full-time role supports the full assessment lifecycle: scheduling exams, preparing and safeguarding testing materials, coordinating with test-takers and testing sites, and maintaining certification and accreditation records.
Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate scheduling for certification examinations and testing events.
- Prepare, package, safeguard, and track secure testing materials and assessment assets.
- Coordinate with candidates, testing sites, and exam administrators to ensure smooth exam delivery.
- Ensure all assessments follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs), security requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Manage exam data and certification records; maintain accurate records for audits and accreditation.
- Respond professionally to candidate and external testing-site administrator questions.
- Support audit activities and assist with process and records reviews.
- Help train proctors and other personnel on proctoring procedures and scripts.
- Deliver short proctoring presentations (10–15 minutes) and address participant questions during assessments.
- Recommend process improvements to increase accuracy and workflow efficiency.
Minimum qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Less than 3 years of relevant experience (entry-level).
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel for retrieving, organizing, and managing data.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to reliably follow established SOPs.
- Experience analyzing processes and proposing actionable workflow improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication and customer-service skills.
- Comfortable presenting and delivering standardized proctoring scripts to groups.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Access or other database tools to manage records and track exams.
- Knowledge of records management policies and documentation best practices.
- Familiarity with Reasonable Accommodations processes to support test-takers with diverse needs.
