About the Role

Confidential Client is seeking a detail-oriented, entry-level Asbestos Claims Paralegal to join their Fort Lauderdale, FL office. This on-site role supports preparation and submission of asbestos-related claims, helps manage high-volume claim files, and provides day-to-day administrative and litigation support. Training will be provided — no prior asbestos experience required.


You Will

  • Assist with preparing, filing, and managing asbestos-related claims, including addressing deficiencies
  • Input and maintain data in the internal case management system
  • Communicate professionally with clients, claims representatives, and internal teams (liens, accounting, intake, estates)
  • Gather and organize client, medical, employment, and exposure-related documentation
  • Support audit responses and meet claim-related deadlines
  • Conduct client outreach to gather information and provide status updates
  • Review records and case materials (e.g., deposition transcripts) and prepare summaries for attorneys
  • Assist attorneys and senior paralegals with monitoring deadlines and other case tasks
  • Maintain accurate, organized electronic case files and documentation

You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree required; recent graduates encouraged to apply
  • Previous legal, administrative, internship, customer service, or office experience is helpful but not required
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Client-focused mindset and professional demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and legal concepts quickly
  • Dependable, professional, and committed to developing a legal career

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay range: $25–$28 per hour (hourly, based on experience and qualifications)
  • Employment type: Full-time and/or Contractor (as needed)
  • This position is on-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL
