Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned art instruction that promotes skill development and creative thinking
• Design project-based and assessment‑aligned units that foster problem-solving and visual literacy
• Use student data to inform instruction, adjust lessons, and set measurable learning goals
• Establish a classroom culture that is structured, academically demanding, and supportive
• Build authentic relationships with students and families to support academic and social-emotional growth
• Create inclusive learning environments where all students feel seen and valued
• Collaborate with colleagues in planning, curriculum development, and professional learning cycles

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• New York State (NYS) teaching certification or working toward certification
