What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Area Manager to lead day-to-day operations in a high-volume distribution / warehouse environment in Grapevine, TX. This is an onsite, full-time role (5 days/week) focused on developing people, driving performance, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

  • Coach, manage, and develop a team of associates and frontline leads
  • Supervise 2–5 non-exempt leads and 30–75 non-exempt team members
  • Set performance goals, track KPIs, and implement process improvements to meet customer demand
  • Maintain compliance with safety programs and OSHA standards
  • Support building security and loss-prevention procedures
  • Establish and uphold quality-control standards across your area
  • Communicate policies, provide feedback, and take corrective action when needed
  • Create and administer recognition and engagement programs
  • Work weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts as required; overtime during peak periods
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure department goals are met

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment; 3–5 years in a supervisory role preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into practical business solutions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and common supply-chain systems (Workday, UKG/Kronos, WFM)
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Proven track record of ownership and driving measurable results
  • Willingness and capacity to receive cross-functional training and assist other teams as needed

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • This position is onsite in Grapevine, TX (5 days/week)
  • Must be able to stand/walk shifts up to 12 hours and travel within large facilities
  • Regularly bend, lift, reach above the head and below the waist
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds as needed
  • May require climbing ladders, stairs, and access to gangways

Compensation & Schedule

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Estimated base pay: $55,787 per year (estimated by source)
  • Onsite — typically 5 days per week; schedule may include nights, weekends, and overtime during peak season
