What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Area Manager - Floor to lead and coach frontline associates inside a busy fulfillment center. This hands-on, operational leadership role reports to the Operations Manager and focuses on delivering safe, accurate, and timely order fulfillment while developing hourly associates and driving continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day coaching, training, and direction to hourly associates; assign duties and coordinate workloads to meet operational targets.
- Monitor and analyze operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve throughput, accuracy, and on-time fulfillment.
- Collaborate with other area managers to optimize flow, reduce waste, and increase productivity across the facility.
- Maintain a safe, compliant work environment by ensuring associates follow policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Participate in hiring, promotion, evaluation, and development of hourly team members.
- Support internal career growth through mentoring, on-the-job development, and stretch assignments.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes and remove barriers to performance.
Qualifications (Minimum)
You will be considered a strong match if you meet one of the following:
- Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field plus 1 year of supervisory experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field; OR
- 1 year of logistics/operations management experience within a large fulfillment operation; OR
- 2 years of logistics operations experience; OR
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
Associates must complete job-required trainings and assessments as part of onboarding.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with warehouse/fulfillment systems.
- Prior experience supervising hourly associates in a high-volume logistics environment.
- Degree in Business or Logistics or related discipline.
- Strong track record of using KPIs and data to drive operational performance.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $65,500 — $98,000
- Additional compensation: annual/quarterly performance-based bonuses; some roles may be eligible for regional pay adjustments.
