Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Project Coordinator to support building assessments and construction-related services. This hybrid role expects approximately 2 days in the office and the remainder remote or in the field as needed. The position requires travel to project sites (approximately 25–50%) and hands-on work observing and evaluating building conditions.


Essential Functions

Working under the guidance of licensed architects and senior staff, the Project Coordinator will:

  • Assist in the review and evaluation of existing buildings and new construction
  • Perform field observations for property condition assessments, construction loan monitoring, and new construction
  • Review plans for general code compliance and adequacy of construction, including coordination, detailing, and building systems
  • Perform cost-comparison and budget analysis for new construction projects
  • Prepare existing building replacement cost evaluations
  • Assist with architectural/engineering repair projects for existing buildings
  • Travel to project sites locally and regionally as needed

Typical Project Types

  • Commercial buildings including office, retail, industrial, hotel/hospitality, and multifamily
  • Focus on technical and practical solutions (limited-to-no design responsibilities)

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
  • 0–5 years of experience in an architecture firm; recent graduates with 1–2 relevant internships are encouraged to apply
  • Hours completed toward licensure are a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; Bluebeam experience preferred; Box/AI tools a plus
  • General understanding of building materials and methods
  • Developing ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and take initiative
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally (approx. 25–50%)

Physical Requirements

Candidates should be able to:

  • Move through construction and existing building sites over rough terrain
  • See and respond to potentially hazardous situations and sounds
  • Ascend and descend ladders and stairs safely
  • Move through confined spaces and narrow paths when required
  • Work outdoors in variable weather or in unconditioned areas
  • Operate a computer and related office equipment; have visual acuity to read printed sources and screens
  • Lift up to 40 pounds (for example, ladders)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $55,000 — $80,000 per year (range reflects level of experience; higher range for strong experience alignment)
