Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Architectural Designer to support project teams on design and documentation tasks. This role works under the direction of a Registered Architect and contributes to small-to-moderate projects and portions of larger projects. The position focuses on producing drawings, BIM coordination, visualizations, and basic code research while developing technical skill and design judgment.


Compensation

  • $33.70 - $38.50 / hour (commensurate with experience, education, and certifications).
  • Pay range is a good-faith estimate based on the job requirements; actual pay may vary.

What You’ll Do

  • Utilize Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, SketchUp and similar tools to create drawings, models, and visualizations.
  • Support Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows to develop coordinated design and documentation deliverables.
  • Prepare architectural drawings, details, and construction documents following established standards.
  • Assist with architectural specifications and coordinate them with construction documents.
  • Research building codes, zoning, and sustainability requirements and summarize findings to inform design decisions.
  • Help develop client presentation materials, attend project meetings, and document follow-up tasks.
  • Participate in professional development activities to build technical and leadership skills.
  • Travel to client/project sites and other company locations as required.

Required experience & education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an NAAB-accredited architecture program.
  • 0–5 years of relevant experience (entry-level applicants encouraged).
  • Experience with Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design/visualization tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred

  • Actively pursuing architectural licensure.
  • Prior experience in architectural practice.
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination, architectural drafting standards, and construction document workflows.
  • Basic understanding of architectural specifications.

Working conditions

Work is primarily in an office environment with occasional standing, walking, and site visits. Typical office lighting and climate; no unusual hazards expected.
