What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Architect in Homewood, AL to support project teams on building design and documentation. This full-time role will assist project architects by preparing working drawings, performing simple design studies, assisting with quantity take-offs and cost estimates, and drafting designs under supervision.
- Completes entry-level assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities.
- Applies academic knowledge of building materials and systems to project tasks.
- Works under the direction of a project architect and receives specific instruction about tasks and results.
- Performs elementary architectural assignments: compiles data, conducts simple design studies and evaluations, estimates quantity take-offs, and assists in preparation of cost estimates.
- Drafts own and others’ designs into completed working drawings.
- Coordinates with CADD designers and other team members as needed.
- Travel required for project work; a valid driver’s license is required (may be waived for international assignments).
Estimated salary: $76,479 per year (Adzuna estimate).
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch) required.
- License-track preferred; candidates with little or no practical experience are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to learn and apply firm standards for drafting and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed and hold a valid driver’s license.
