What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Apprentice Technician in Pleasanton, CA. This is an entry-level, hands-on role designed to build your automotive skills and certifications while supporting service technicians.

• Assist Master/Service Technicians or Team Leaders with vehicle inspections and diagnostics
• Help identify necessary repairs and maintenance items
• Support estimating repair costs and preparing documentation
• Assist with performing vehicle repairs, basic service, and maintenance tasks
• Request and track parts needed for service jobs
• Maintain clear records of services performed and hours worked in the timekeeping system
• Learn and follow dealership/manufacturer service guidelines and safety procedures
• Use available technologies to improve the customer experience
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Participate in required training and skills development
• Support CSI (customer service index) goals and company core values
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems; demonstrable mechanical aptitude
• Up to 3 years of related experience preferred (entry-level candidates encouraged)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Eligible for NAPA training, manufacturer training, and state inspection/emissions training where applicable
• Basic computer skills to use timekeeping and parts/inventory systems
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work scheduled shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation & Schedule

• Hourly base pay: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour (hourly range provided by Confidential Client)
• Production bonus may be available based on individual or team performance (no fixed upper limit)
• Employment type: Full-time (also listed as internship/apprentice program depending on program structure)
• Regular and predictable attendance required

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Work is performed primarily in a service bay/service area around vehicles
• May be exposed to noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and typical service/repair conditions
• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands and arms
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Follow all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations
