What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an early-career Software Engineer focused on applied AI. You will build scalable, performant product features and systems that deliver innovative AI experiences at production scale. This is a full‑stack role where engineers own projects from inception through launch and iteration.
- Collaborate with product leaders to identify customer problems, scope requirements, and deliver pragmatic solutions.
- Build and maintain full‑stack features and services end-to-end with emphasis on reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Design and instrument observability, metrics, and alerts to enable smooth operation and continuous improvement.
- Work with LLMs and other AI models to integrate capabilities into product flows.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor teammates, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
- Help recruit, onboard, and grow a world-class engineering team.
Who You Are
- Excited about Large Language Models (LLMs) and building systems that support and leverage them.
- Comfortable ramping quickly on a stack that includes TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals; degree in Computer Science or a related field is typical for this role.
- Able to thrive in ambiguity and independently drive projects to delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communicator, able to explain technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passionate about building intuitive, reliable products customers love.
Qualifications
- Early-career / entry-level software engineering experience or internships demonstrating practical coding and system design.
- Familiarity or practical experience with front-end frameworks (React, Next.js) and back-end Node.js services.
- Experience or interest in working with GraphQL (Apollo) and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- Exposure to production monitoring, observability, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Compensation & Employment Type
- Compensation Range: $160K - $180K
- Employment Type: Full‑time
