Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Applications Support / Driver License Credentialing Specialist to work on a state driver-licensing rollout in Henderson, KY. This is a contract, fully on-site position responsible for verifying secure identity documents, supporting new digitized issuance systems (KDLIS/IDEMIA), and ensuring compliance with state and federal rules (including REAL ID and Commercial Driver License requirements). This is an entry-level, customer-facing role with regular local travel and occasional overnight assignments.

What You’ll Do

• Review and analyze secure identity documents for driver license applicants, including complex non-U.S. citizen applications.
• Verify applicant information against driver history records and enter data accurately into the KDLIS/IDEMIA issuance system.
• Support on-site license issuance at fixed and mobile locations (manufacturing centers, libraries, correctional facilities, community events).
• Advise applicants on licensing questions and guide them through required steps (REAL ID, CDL processes).
• Maintain professional conduct while interacting with citizens and team members; follow confidentiality and data security rules.
• Participate in periodic record screenings and required background (fingerprint) checks.
• Work scheduled overtime as needed (evenings and occasional Saturdays); travel and overnight stays may be required by the project.

Minimum Qualifications

• Customer service experience; strong communication skills (phone and in-person).
• Task-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and within a team.
• Ability to learn and accurately use the KY Driver's License Information System (KDLIS)/IDEMIA issuance program.
• Must pass federal fingerprint background check and maintain a valid driving record (periodic screenings).
• Education: Associate's degree or higher preferred, or equivalent administrative/business/clerical experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Ability to stand or sit up to 8 hours per day and work in a fast-paced public-facing environment.
• Professionalism, integrity, diplomacy, and a high level of personal accountability.

Preferred / Helpful Skills

• Experience with document verification, identity proofing, or government-issued credentials.
• Familiarity with REAL ID, Commercial Driver Licensing rules, or National Driver Register processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to calm and assist applicants under stress.

Compensation & Benefits

• Rate: $16.70 per hour (hourly range: $16.70 - $16.70/hr).
• Employment type: Contract, full-time; fully on-site in Henderson, KY.
