What You’ll Do

This Applications Sales Engineer (Collierville, TN) combines technical problem-solving with customer-facing support and sales. You will help convert application requirements into the right pumping solutions and support the outside sales team through technical expertise and quoting.

• Respond to customer inquiries about pumps, parts, accessories, and system performance
• Select and specify pumps and related equipment using pump selection software
• Prepare accurate technical quotations, proposals, and submittals based on customer requirements
• Coordinate new orders for pump equipment and assemblies with internal teams
• Troubleshoot application and operational issues with customers and end users
• Provide technical assistance across the product portfolio (centrifugal, positive-displacement, seals, couplings)
• Support outside sales representatives in equipment selection, quoting, and customer relationships
• Review engineering specifications and bid requirements for proposed equipment

What We’re Looking For

Confidential Client seeks practical, customer-focused engineering talent. The ideal candidate will have relevant pump or rotating equipment exposure and strong communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (preferred)
• 2–5 years related experience preferred; pump selection/application experience is a plus
• Entry-level engineering candidates with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused, team-oriented approach with a positive attitude
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with computer-based selection tools, business systems, and email
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer deadlines
• Experience with centrifugal pumps, positive-displacement pumps, mechanical seals, or rotating equipment is a plus
• Experience supporting industrial, municipal, commercial, irrigation, or fire protection applications is preferred
