Role summary
Confidential Client is hiring an Application Support Engineer to provide day-to-day production support for trading, CRM, and business-facing applications. This role focuses on troubleshooting user issues, investigating incidents, coordinating with technical teams and vendors, and supporting onboarding, access management, and testing. The position requires 5-days onsite in Midtown Manhattan for the first 90 days.
What You’ll Do
- Provide L1/L2 application support for trading systems, CRM, and other business applications.
- Triage and troubleshoot user-reported issues; reproduce problems and identify root cause.
- Investigate system incidents, coordinate incident response and escalation with engineering teams and external vendors.
- Manage access requests and assist with onboarding tasks for new users.
- Execute and document system and release testing; validate fixes in production or staging.
- Partner with business users and stakeholders to support new initiatives and changes.
- Maintain runbooks, incident logs, and knowledge-base articles to improve operational efficiency.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and clear communication to non-technical stakeholders.
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field — or equivalent work experience.
- Strong interest in financial services, trading, capital markets, or fintech.
- Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and basic data analysis.
- Ability to work onsite in Manhattan, NY (5 days onsite required the first 90 days).
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Nice-to-have / Technical exposure
- Experience or exposure to SQL, Python, databases, or production support tools.
- Internship or prior support experience in financial services or trading environments.
- Familiarity with incident management tools and ticketing systems.
Compensation & benefits
- Estimated base salary: $70,820 per year (estimated).

Location & schedule
