Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Application Software Engineer (Internal Systems) to design and deliver mission-critical internal applications that improve engineering, production, and operations. You will build full‑stack solutions, own features end-to-end, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, performance, and developer productivity.

What You’ll Do

Work on internal systems used across the organization to accelerate manufacturing, testing, deployment, and operational workflows. Typical responsibilities include:

• Develop highly reliable, maintainable software used by internal teams
• Design and implement new applications and platform components
• Build prototypes to validate design choices and clarify constraints
• Own the full software lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Collaborate with users and stakeholders to deeply understand needs and deliver efficient solutions
• Participate in architecture and code reviews; mentor peers on best practices
• Optimize application performance and scalability for production workloads

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience in full-stack software development (front-end + back-end)

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Programming experience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Java, Scala, or a similar object-oriented language
• 1+ years building single-page web applications (Angular, React, Vue, or similar)
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices
• Strong software design skills and systems-thinking
• Experience with profiling and improving application performance
• Knowledge of build systems (Make, Bazel, Gradle, etc.) and package managers (pip, npm)
• Experience with UNIX-like operating systems and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
• Experience with in-stream data processing tools (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Database experience (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar)

Additional Requirements

• This role requires onsite presence; remote or hybrid arrangements will not be considered
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as operational needs require
