Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring an APEX Clinical Research Associate (CRA) for the October 2026 cohort. This accelerated, entry-level CRA development program (APEX) provides structured training, hands-on exposure to clinical systems, and progressive project responsibilities to prepare participants to function independently as CRAs.
What you’ll do
- Support CRAs and Clinical Operations Leads with project tasks across Project Support, Initiation CRA support, and Site-Facing support.
- Complete instructor-led training and apply learning to clinical systems such as CTMS, EDC, safety information systems, and TMF platforms.
- Participate in observational and co-monitoring visits (remote and on-site) to learn monitoring best practices.
- Perform supervised billable tasks and progressively take on independent monitoring responsibilities.
- Build and maintain strong site relationships, troubleshoot site issues, and help ensure site quality through close-out activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, data sciences, pharmacy, or other health-related discipline.
- Up to 24 months (2 years) of clinical research experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in a matrixed environment.
- Self-driven with a sense of urgency and the ability to work with limited oversight.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, interpret study protocols, and meet project timelines.
- Honest, ethical approach and commitment to advancing patient-focused research.
- Strong computer aptitude and ability to learn clinical systems quickly (CTMS/EDC/TMF).
- Spanish or French language capability is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Location, schedule & travel
- Work model: Remote (TELECOMMUTE) with frequent field travel to investigator sites.
- Authoritative job location: Cedar, MO, USA.
- Start date: Candidates must be available to start on October 12, 2026.
- Required in-person training: Week of November 9, 2026 (Raleigh, NC).
- Travel expectation: Up to 80% — typically a minimum of 5 site visits per month and multi-day onsite visits; travel increases after initial months.
Compensation & benefits
- Potential base pay range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year (actual offer varies by level, experience, location, and other factors).
- Some roles may be eligible for additional incentives, bonuses, or incentive programs where applicable.

Program & career growth
- APEX participants complete the ACRP Entry Level Knowledge Assessment (CRKA) and receive a 1-year ACRP membership.
- Ongoing coaching from Line Managers and Clinical Operations Leads supports development and clear pathways into full CRA roles, senior CRA, Quality, Project Leadership, or management.

- This is an entry-level / early-career development program for candidates with up to 24 months of clinical research experience.
