Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Analytics Data Scientist to help solve real-world business problems using data. This role focuses on digital experience analytics, customer feedback and sentiment analysis, forecasting, customer behavior modeling, and operational optimization. The role is hybrid in Vienna, VA. In-person interview required.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze customer digital behavior using Python and SQL to produce actionable insights.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns in product adoption, engagement, and customer experience.
• Partner with product, technology, and business stakeholders to define problems and deliver fit-for-purpose analytical solutions.
• Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards, reports, and models that support business decisions.
• Apply statistical methods (hypothesis testing, regression, forecasting, segmentation/clustering, experimentation) to drive measurable outcomes.
• Use NLP and text analytics to summarize and classify customer feedback, identify sentiment, and surface friction points.
• Conduct Voice of the Customer (VoC) analysis across app reviews, surveys, contact center interactions, social media, and other feedback sources.
• Translate technical findings into clear recommendations, dashboards, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, business analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, economics, or another quantitative/analytical field.
• 1–5 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, analytics, or related project work.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, preparation, analysis, and modeling. Experience with R is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with EDA, hypothesis testing, regression, forecasting, clustering/segmentation, experimentation, and NLP/sentiment analysis.
• Experience working in notebook-based analytical environments (e.g., Jupyter, Colab).
• Strong communication and data-storytelling skills; ability to present results to business and executive audiences.
• Curiosity and ability to learn new analytical methods and technologies quickly.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field; experience with customer behavior, digital products, or financial/digital banking products; advanced SQL and Python skills.

• Salary range: $100,000 – $122,000 per year.
