Analytics Analyst
The Analytics Analyst will enhance business processes by designing and implementing data strategies, reporting tools, and workflows. This role involves developing financial models, writing SQL queries for data extraction from Snowflake, and collaborating with multiple departments to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis at both corporate and location levels.

What You’ll Do
This role supports the enhancement of business processes by partnering with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement data strategies, reporting tools, and workflows. You will turn data into actionable insights that drive operational and financial decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate unit-level economics, labor and food cost trends, and financial performance of new locations.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, reconcile, and validate data from Confidential Client’s Snowflake cloud data warehouse for recurring reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
- Maintain and improve Excel-based reporting tools and dashboards used by the FP&A team; build robust formulas and model logic.
- Support monthly financial close activities, annual budgeting, and forecasting; analyze corporate and location-level profit & loss statements.
- Work closely with Accounting, Operations, IT, and Systems teams to document data flows and improve ETL/data quality.
- Translate analysis into clear recommendations and present findings to stakeholders across departments.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related discipline — or equivalent internship experience.
- Up to two years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, business analytics, or data analytics (relevant internships considered).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling).
- Working knowledge of SQL; familiarity with Snowflake a plus.
- Experience with Python or R for data cleaning, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to explain analysis and assumptions clearly.
- Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and comfortable solving ambiguous business problems.
Nice-to-Have / Preferred
- Experience building dashboards and automated reporting (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing best practices.
- Prior exposure to location-level financial analysis (retail, restaurant, or multi-site operations).
Compensation & Location
- Estimated salary: $74,201 per year (estimated).
- Location: Waldwick, NJ — this role works closely with on-site teams; confirm remote/flexible options with the recruiter.
