What You’ll Do

This entry-level Analytical Technician role supports analytical R&D work in a crop protection discovery and development laboratory. You will work under direction of senior scientists to prepare, analyze, and document samples using a range of analytical techniques.

• Support sample receipt, weighing, preparation, and routine analysis of active ingredients, intermediates, impurities, and formulations for qualitative and quantitative testing.
• Assist with non‑GLP and GLP laboratory method validation experiments as needed.
• Operate and learn analytical instruments including HPLC, GC, LC/GC/MS, Karl‑Fischer titration, and related titration techniques.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Process and review analytical data, prepare clear documentation, and maintain data integrity and chain of custody.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders; reprioritize tasks for urgent or high‑priority projects.
• Follow all EHS&S (Environment, Health, Safety & Security) protocols and maintain a safe laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline required.
• Previous laboratory experience required (academic lab work, internships, or industry experience).
• Hands‑on familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, LC/GC/MS or Karl‑Fischer titration is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal abilities.
• Detail oriented, self‑motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and in teams.
• Commitment to safety, data quality, and following lab protocols.

Ideal Candidate

• Recent chemistry graduates or candidates with academic/professional analytical chemistry experience.
• Candidates with HPLC/GC operation experience (hands‑on preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to data integrity in a fast‑paced R&D setting.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay rate: $24–$27 per hour (depending on experience).
• Assignment: 1‑year contract with potential to extend or convert to direct employment.
• Benefits and perks depend on employment arrangement with the client and may include access to voluntary benefits, paid time off, and retirement savings options where applicable. Specific benefit eligibility will be provided during the hiring process.

• Location: Indianapolis, IN (Uptown area / 46202)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
