Role Overview

Confidential Client, a small and growing commodity advisory firm focused on energy and petrochemical market intelligence, is seeking an entry-level Analyst to join their on-site team in The Woodlands, TX. This hands-on role supports consultants by maintaining client materials, preparing presentations, assisting with basic website updates, and providing general office support. The position is full-time and based in The Woodlands, TX.


Key Responsibilities

  • Update and refresh PowerPoint presentations for client meetings with the latest charts, data, and analysis
  • Maintain an organized slide library and presentation database; keep existing Excel models current
  • Prepare meeting materials and supporting analysis for client discussions
  • Schedule and coordinate client meetings and client entertainment events
  • Assist with basic website content updates and content management tasks
  • Provide general office administration (purchasing supplies, coordinating with vendors)
  • Take on additional projects and ad-hoc tasks as the firm grows

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with data tools (spreadsheets, databases, visualization software)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing client-facing materials
  • Background or coursework in economics, finance, engineering, statistics, or another quantitative discipline preferred
  • Interest in energy, petrochemicals, or commodity markets; willingness to learn sector-specific dynamics
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required for strong early-career candidates
  • High integrity, professional judgment, strong attention to detail, and an organized work approach
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift
  • Willingness to learn basic website updates and content management systems
