Position overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring a new graduate Analyst — Management Consulting (Class of 2027) for advisory work based in Ny State Campus, NY. This entry-level role supports client projects across mining & metals, infrastructure and energy sectors, performing commercial and technical analysis, building financial models, and preparing client-ready deliverables. The position includes opportunities for mentorship, international travel to project sites, and exposure to cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Do
- Perform technical and commercial diligence on assets and businesses
- Analyze performance indicators, costs, and operational KPIs
- Build and maintain financial models to support investment and business-case decisions
- Clean, analyze and interpret large datasets to produce evidence-based recommendations
- Create client-facing presentations, proposals, reports and spreadsheets
- Identify, rank and manage risks and propose mitigation approaches
- Work across project teams and industries, with potential frequent international travel
- Support business development activities and stay current on market and industry trends
- Contribute to continuous improvement of client approaches and internal practices
Qualifications
- Must be graduating in 2027
- Degree backgrounds accepted:
- Bachelor of Engineering or Applied Science (Chemical, Civil, Industrial, Materials, Mining, or Engineering Sciences) — ideally with a minor/certificate in Business, Commerce or Economics
- Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration
- Bachelor of Arts in Economics
- Other undergraduate degrees with demonstrated interest in advisory/management consulting
- Prior co-op, internship, or relevant project experience preferred
- Proven experience using research and analysis tools
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with SQL / working with databases and large datasets
- Strong quantitative, problem-solving and analytical skills

Compensation & Location
- Location: Ny State Campus, NY (primary work location)
- Employment type: Full-time (may include contract assignments)
- Compensation range (pay transparency): $75,000 – $87,000 per year (range provided by Confidential Client and aligned with internal pay structures)
