What You’ll Do

This entry-level Analyst, Loan Administration role supports day-to-day loan lifecycle processing, reconciliation, and operational controls. You will execute routine loan events, validate activity, work with senior team members to resolve breaks, and interact with external agents and custodians on operational matters — all while following documented SOPs and control standards.

  • Execute routine loan lifecycle events such as fundings, paydowns, interest accruals/payments, and fee processing
  • Perform daily checks and reviews to confirm loan activity is accurately recorded and complete
  • Research and help resolve breaks, discrepancies, or inquiries in partnership with senior staff
  • Review and process supporting documentation, agent notices, and trustee/custodian communications
  • Communicate professionally with external agents and counterparties on routine operational items
  • Escalate process gaps, exceptions, or unclear items to management and suggest improvements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and relevant internship experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in loan administration, investment operations, banking operations, or related financial services roles
  • Strong interest in financial markets, lending products, and investment operations
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and financial concepts quickly
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accurate work

Preferred:

  • Internship, coursework, or hands-on exposure in finance, accounting, banking, investments, or operations
  • Exposure to Wall Street Office (WSO) or other financial operations platforms
  • Familiarity with syndicated loan products, private credit, or alternative investments
  • Experience in a professional, team-based office environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $75,000 – $90,000 (annual). Final pay depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
  • This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
  • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, employer-paid short & long-term disability and life insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, paid time off, parental leave, and other voluntary benefits.

Location, Work Authorization & Schedule

  • Location: Chicago, IL (must be willing to work from the Chicago office as required)
  • Employment type: Full time (Contract/Contractor option may apply per posting)
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
