What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Analyst, Institutional Fund Accounting to support daily NAV valuation and monthly reporting for large asset-owner plans (primarily Defined Contribution — e.g., 401(k) — and Defined Benefit/ Pension ERISA plans). You will work under direct supervision to reconcile funds, resolve exceptions, and help produce accurate client reporting.

  • Determine Net Asset Value (NAV) for fund investment options on a daily basis
  • Evaluate and reconcile mutual funds, separately managed, commingled, and collective funds versus benchmarks
  • Analyze impacts of transactions, income postings, accruals and corporate actions on portfolio option values
  • Audit and resolve exceptions for cash, holdings reports, price variances, expenses and accruals within established SLA windows
  • Support timely preparation of monthly and annual client reports and financial statements in accordance with GAAP and performance standards
  • Respond to partner and client inquiries; record resolutions and escalate complex issues to supervisors
  • Provide annual portfolio and Form 5500 reporting support when required

Who You Are / Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience preferred, or relevant fund accounting experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, finance and securities (gained through coursework or prior experience)
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail to research and resolve account exceptions on schedule
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Power suite is a plus
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship (see Work Authorization section below)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Prior exposure to fund accounting, mutual fund accounting, custodial operations or institutional asset servicing
  • Experience with NAV calculation, reconciliations and audit processes
  • Familiarity with ERISA plan reporting (401k / pension) and Form 5500 processes

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range (good-faith estimate): $41,040 - $61,560 USD per year
