What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Analyst I or II to support the Financial Sponsors Group. You will assist deal teams on financial sponsor-led transactions by performing analysis, preparing client materials, and supporting execution from diligence through closing.
- Apply accounting, corporate finance, credit, and capital markets concepts to transaction analysis and execution
- Build and refine financial models to assess company performance, stress scenarios, and transaction viability
- Conduct credit research, comparable debt analysis, and ratings assessments
- Perform accounting, business, and legal due diligence for new and existing clients
- Prepare client-facing deliverables including pitch books, market updates, and transaction summaries
- Synthesize large volumes of financial and qualitative data into clear recommendations
- Distribute market commentary, economic updates, and pricing information to stakeholders
- Maintain internal databases and third-party financial platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ)
- Manage multiple projects and communicate status and deliverables across deal teams
- Support process-improvement and data-integrity initiatives
- Mentor Analyst I team members and share modeling best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to team priorities and timelines
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in capital markets, advisory, investment banking, or a private equity internship
- Demonstrated academic or professional exposure to financial analysis and corporate finance concepts
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses (or ability to obtain where required)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Required Skills & Competencies
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills; strong attention to detail
- Proven financial modeling and valuation experience
- Clear written and verbal communication for internal and client-facing deliverables
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar financial data platforms
Compensation & Benefits
- Total Base Pay Range: $61,200 – $125,500 USD (annual) — actual pay will vary based on experience, role level (I or II), and location
- Eligible to participate in incentive compensation programs (based on performance)
