What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Analyst to support the Credit Products / Portfolio Management team. This role is a development opportunity to learn commercial credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring while collaborating with Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, and other partners.
- Gather and analyze financial and business information to assess creditworthiness for loan and credit products
- Build and maintain financial spreads, cash-flow models, and performance tear sheets
- Support risk rating, compliance testing, and ongoing portfolio monitoring activities
- Underwrite commercial loans following internal credit policy — financial statement analysis, collateral review, capitalization assessment, and management evaluation
- Conduct industry and market research and summarize key themes for stakeholders
- Prepare concise presentation-ready summaries and credit memos
- Perform other duties as assigned to support portfolio health and decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting, or related field)
- FINRA Series 79, 63 (or equivalent combination) required — or must be obtained within 4 months of hire
- 0+ years experience in underwriting, commercial banking, or credit analysis (entry-level candidates welcome)
- Strong Excel skills and comfort building financial models and spreads
- Good analytical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to communicate findings clearly
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $49,925 — $92,575 annually (range represents anticipated low and high end; final compensation will vary based on location, experience, and education)
- Eligible for applicable incentive compensation programs
