What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with team members to understand business metrics and reporting needs.
- Maintain regularly scheduled reports and automate repeats where appropriate.
- Produce dashboards and data extracts with accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform data validation and analysis to ensure report accuracy.
- Support operational and ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Document report procedures and processes for assigned deliverables.
- Conduct manual data reviews to answer business questions, identify trends, or support audits.
- Actively learn internal systems and business processes to better serve stakeholders.
What You’ll Need
- Basic proficiency with Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or SSRS.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL or other query languages is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and business processes quickly.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience; bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Business analyst experience and/or Residential Mortgage Industry experience preferred.
About the Confidential Client
Confidential Client is operating in the Accounting & Finance industry and seeks an entry-level business intelligence analyst to support its Mortgage Lending Division. This role is focused on learning core systems, producing routine reports and dashboards, validating data, and helping the business measure operational performance. The position is remote (telecommute) and reports into the MLD reporting team.
