What You’ll Do

Join a structured Actuarial Development Program (ADP) designed to accelerate early-career actuarial professionals into future leaders. Over a minimum 4.5-year program, you will rotate through key actuarial functions and deliver analytical support that drives pricing, reserving, forecasting, trend analysis and business decision-making. Expect hands-on work, mentorship, exam support and opportunities to build models, automate processes and influence product strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in multiple rotations (Risk Assessment, Rate Filing, Reserve Analysis, Planning & Forecasting, Pricing/Trend & Benefit Design).
  • Perform data analysis to support pricing, forecasting and reserving decisions.
  • Compile, validate and prepare exhibits for regulatory filings.
  • Monitor claim and reserve levels and document reserving methodology.
  • Build and refine actuarial models and tools using spreadsheets and database/web-based applications.
  • Translate technical results for business leaders and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Support development and implementation of process, tool and system requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with an anticipated graduation by June 2027. Relevant majors include Actuarial Science, Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics or related fields.
  • Passed at least one actuarial exam.
  • Willingness to relocate to an identified actuarial hub (Hartford, CT; Blue Bell, PA; Atlanta, GA; or Chicago, IL) if required.
  • Able to work full time (anticipated 40 hours/week) and meet program commitments.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (this role does not offer sponsorship, including CPT/OPT/F-1).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or work experience supporting actuarial functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (student orgs, team projects, sports, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with analytical or coding tools such as Python, SAS, R, SQL, VBA and advanced Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.

Location & Work Model

  • Authoritative job location: Atlanta, GA (this listing is for Atlanta).
  • The program has positions across multiple office locations (Hartford, CT; Blue Bell, PA; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA). Candidates may state location preference; final assignment will be confirmed closer to start date.
  • Hybrid work model: typically 2–3 days in office to collaborate with local program teams.
  • Relocation assistance is available for candidates moving more than 50 miles.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary example: $74,000 plus actuarial exam raises.
  • Pay range for this role: $61,800 - $135,960 (base annual). Actual offer depends on experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

  • Program length: minimum 4.5 years with structured rotations and mentorship.
