What You’ll Do

You will join a risk & regulatory analytics team supporting anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions work. This role focuses on business intelligence and data-driven decision support for financial services clients.

  • Analyze AML and sanctions datasets to identify trends, exceptions, and actionable patterns.
  • Build and support dashboards, recurring reports, and visualizations for monitoring and issue tracking.
  • Collect, clean, and reconcile data from multiple sources to improve completeness and consistency.
  • Use Python, SQL, and analytics tools to manipulate datasets, automate repeatable tasks, and support process improvements.
  • Translate business questions into clear analytical outputs that inform investigations and client recommendations.
  • Document data logic, assumptions, and procedures used in reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements, validate findings, and refine outputs based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Learn and apply firm/regulatory standards while contributing to client deliverables in a banking or financial-services environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum: 1 year of relevant experience (data analysis, AML, sanctions, or analytics projects).
  • Demonstrated coursework or project work in data analysis, statistics, or business intelligence.
  • Practical experience (academic, internship, or professional) using Python, SQL, or analytics/BI tools.
  • Ability to gather and interpret data from multiple sources and clearly communicate findings to mixed audiences.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and ownership in fast-paced client settings.

Preference given to candidates with study or experience in fields such as Accounting, Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, Risk Management, or similar disciplines.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $61,000 - $100,000 (actual pay depends on skills, experience, and applicable employment laws).
  • Eligible employees may receive an annual discretionary bonus and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave (benefit specifics determined by the hiring organization).
